The first snow is expected here in Miltona, today. Its hard to believe! Where did September go... wait a minute, where did October go, too?
It has been a great fall on Lake Miltona. We have been lucky enough to have some wonderful groups take advantage of some outstanding fall walleye and muskie fishing, including a few groups here from as far away as Sweden and Finland. If you are planning a fishing trip to stay at Woodland, give Steve a call, he can set you up with one of the outstanding professional guides that can really put you on the fish.
Speaking of fishing, just a few more weeks and we will begin watching the ice form! Walleye fishing and panfishing should be outstanding this winter.
We will post more information, as the lake starts to ice over! But until then, we have plans to fool at least a few more ducks and maybe a goose or two. The cold snap should bring down a few northern birds in the coming days. Last weekend, we had a few Goldeneye decoy right into our spread set up just out from shore at the resort. Matt, our 13 year old is still working on getting his first duck, Dad sure would like to see that happen, too! Wish us luck!
We work a little, this time of year, as well! We are just finishing working with a web design company on our new site. We hope you like it! We are also just a few days away from finishing up our new office/store addition! We are excited to have these completed, and are already planning some winter projects.
Thanks for taking the time to read our post! We hope you find some time to enjoy the last of the fall weather.
Steve and Michelle
